Injections & Procedures

The following procedures are offered as part of comprehensive musculoskeletal care. Availability depends on clinical indication and clinic resources.

The following injection-based procedures may be offered as part of comprehensive musculoskeletal care.

Treatments are performed using image guidance when appropriate and are recommended based on diagnosis, imaging findings, and individual clinical context.

  • Corticosteroid injections may be used to help manage pain and inflammation associated with certain joint, tendon, and soft-tissue conditions. When indicated, injections are performed under image guidance to support accurate placement and procedural precision.

  • Hyaluronic acid injections are used in select cases to support joint lubrication and symptom management. Different formulations may be considered depending on the clinical context.

In clinical practice, this may include: Intra-articular injections for joint conditions or peri-tendinous or soft-tissue applications in specific scenarios

  • PRP involves the use of a patient’s own blood, processed to concentrate platelets and associated growth factors. These biologically active components may play a role in tissue signaling and healing responses.

PRP may be considered for certain musculoskeletal conditions involving joints, tendons, or soft tissues. Procedures are performed under image guidance when appropriate to support precise placement.

  • Arthrosamid® is a synthetic, non-biologic injectable gel used in select patients with knee osteoarthritis. Unlike temporary injectables, Arthrosamid® is designed to integrate within the joint space and may provide longer-lasting symptom relief, with clinical data supporting durability of effect for up to five years in appropriately selected patients.

Injections are performed under image guidance to ensure accurate intra-articular placement.

  • Prolotherapy involves the injection of an irritant solution—commonly hypertonic dextrose—into targeted ligaments, tendons, or joint structures. The goal is to stimulate a localized healing response and support tissue remodeling in select musculoskeletal conditions.

When used, prolotherapy injections are performed under image guidance to support accuracy and safety.

Procedural options are discussed on an individual basis. Not all treatments are appropriate for every patient, and clinical recommendations are based on diagnosis, imaging, and overall clinical context.
